Future of Blyth Fire Services to be revealed

The Township of North Huron has called a special council meeting for next week where they will reveal the new location of Blyth Fire Services.

This past summer, council voted to sell the Emergency Services Training Centre in Blyth, and Reeve Bernie Bailey said it is time to update the public on the process of selecting a new location.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 30 at the Blyth Memorial Hall, and will begin at 6 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
