OPP make significant meth seizure in West Perth

Two men and a woman are facing drug trafficking charges following two related Perth County investigations this week.

On Wednesday, the Huron-Perth OPP Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of Perth County OPP, seized a quantity of methamphetamine from a vehicle in Perth East.  They also seized property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia and the vehicle. Three people were taken into custody.

Acting on a search warrant on Thursday at a property on Ontario Road in West Perth, police seized methamphetamine and further drug trafficking paraphernalia. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is over $28,000.

The trio arrested Wednesday were then charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking methamphetamine. Two are from West Perth, and a third man is from South Huron.

All three were held for bail hearings in Stratford.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
