Brazen theft from Gorrie store under investigation

Huron County OPP officers are investigating after the brazen theft of a snow blower from a hardware store in Gorrie.

Police said the theft was reported on Sunday and occurred on January 27. Store surveillance video shows a man entering the store, and immediately noticing a gas-powered Brute snow blower valued at $480.

He then walks out of the store and proceeds to cram the snow blower into the back seat of a silver four-door compact car. The male suspect then departed without making payment for the item.

The male suspect is seen wearing a black toque with stripes, a black jacket, black pants and dark winter boots.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
