Education Minister says 'consultations will continue'

Education Minister Lisa Thompson says the government has not made any decisions regarding adjustments to class size for kindergarten and primary grades.

The MPP for Huron-Bruce said they are now in the "consultation phase".

"We want to hear from our education partners, like our teacher's federations, our education worker's unions, as well as our trustees. What's working, what's not. How does Ontario compare with other jurisdictions across Canada," said Thompson.

Thompson said their goal is to enable people to tell them how they feel in terms of what's been effective in the classroom and how they can improve the learning environment as well.

But she stresses, no decisions have been made at this time.
