PJHL: Hawks and Pats earn narrow victories, Bulldogs win

Kincardine 8 Goderich 2

Ethan Long and Jordan Caskenette each struck twice in Kincardine's 8-2 win over Goderich.

Logan Freiburger had a goal and two assists in the win. Grant Stevens scored and added a helper for the Bulldogs.

Riley Conners and Cameron Schram scored for Goderich.

Walkerton 6 Hanover 5

Noah Rouse scored the game winner with 2:20 left to play and Walkerton edged Hanover 6-5.

Gary Mantz led the Hawks with a goal and two assists. Jeremy Davidson, Ryan Shaw, Justin Donnelly and Thomas Brown also scored in the win.

The Barons were led by Brandon Richardson with a goal and an assist.

Mount Forest 6 Wingham 5

Bradley Powell's goal at 15:51 of the third would stand as the game winner as Mount Forest edged Wingham 6-5.

The Ironmen were leading 3-1 after the first before the Patriots took control of the game late in the second.

Troy Weber, Klayton Hoelscher and Dawson Bolger led the Pats with a goal and an assist each.

The Ironmen were led by Shane Vollmer with two goals and by Carter Collinson with a goal and two assists. Jamie Huber scored and added a helper for Wingham.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
