$25K in meth seized in Perth South

A Huron County man is facing a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine.

During a vehicle stop in Perth South on Monday, OPP officers seized a large quantity of methamphetamine. The estimated value of the seized controlled substance is $25,000.

Police also seized drug trafficking materials and the vehicle.

The 49-year-old Central Huron man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. He appeared for a bail hearing in Stratford court Tuesday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
