Bruce County suspect arrested in Sudbury

Police in Sudbury have arrested a man who has been wanted by South Bruce OPP for several weeks.

An arrest warrant had been issued for 23-year-old Jeremey Jason Hogg after an incident in Arran-Elderslie on January 10.

Police had tried to stop a vehicle at on Greenock-Elderslie Townline when the suspect left the scene, striking two police cruisers and injuring an officer.  The injured officer discharged a firearm at the suspect with unknown results.

Three days later, the suspect vehicle was found abandoned at the Howick Minto Townline.

On Thursday, Hogg was arrested by the Greater Sudbury Police Service.  He remains in custody and will be returning to Walkerton for a court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
