Many Family Day events scheduled throughout Midwestern Ontario

With Family Day around the corner, there are plenty of local events planned for the holiday on Monday.

The Bruce County Museum is hosting a Family Heritage Day, which will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. North Huron will play host to the Family Fun-Apalooza Winter Luge-Athon, with events starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, February 17 until 3 p.m., and on Family Day from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Blyth, Belgrave, and Wingham. For more info you can visit northhuron.ca. Palmerston is also hosting the Darren's Day event all day to celebrate the life of Darren Moore who passed away in a car accident last summer.

The Bruce-Grey Public Health Unit is also encouraging families to get outside and play, and they have a list of community activities for Family Dat available at www.playbrucegrey.com.
