Squalls expected to ease overnight

The early evening drive Wednesday may not be the best as squalls are are still cutting across the region.

Blowing snow is also being reported creating heavy drifting on many roads throughout Huron, Perth, Bruce and parts of Grey and Wellington.

As of 5:30 p.m., Hydro One crews were also dealing with scattered power outages around the Mitchell and Stratford areas. Crews were out working most of the day as spotty outages kept them busy through other parts of Perth County and into Huron County. The outages were weather related. Restoration times are posted as 11 p.m.

The squalls are expected to ease overnight with some scattered flurries Thursday.
