Charge laid after driver caught pulling snowboarder with SUV

Police have charged a British Columbia man after an SUV was caught towing a snowboarder along the road in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service said on Tuesday at around 10 p.m., the vehicle was spotted by police along 9th Avenue ‘A’ East.  The snowboarder was attempting manoeuvres on a large pile of snow in the cul-de-sac.

A traffic stop was performed and a 24-year-old British Columbia man is now charged with attaching a person to his vehicle.  A conviction would result in a fine of $110 and two demerit points.
