Snowmobile fatality in South Bruce Peninsula

The OPP continue an investigation into a fatal snowmobile collision Thursday night in South Bruce Peninsula.

Bruce Peninsula Paramedic Services and the OPP responded to a report of a single snowmobile collision on an OFSC trail north of Park Head Road around 8:30 p.m.

The operator of the snowmobile was pronounced dead at the scene.   An investigation determined the snowmobile was northbound when it left the trail and crashed into a tree.

The victim has been identified as a 37-year-old man from Arran-Elderslie.  His name has not been released.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Friday in Owen Sound.
