GOJHL: Decisive win for Listowel, Dutchmen ride power play to victory

Listowel 5 Brampton 0

Evan Morrison stopped all 22 shots he faced as Listowel blanked Brampton 5-0 to take a 2-0 lead in their Midwestern Conference quarterfinal.

Trent Verbeek and Darcy Winkler led the Cyclones offense with a goal and an assist each.

Luke Israel, Chayse Herrfort and Jamie Damignani also scored for Listowel who when 2-10 with the man advantage. Brampton had six power play opportunities in the game.

Kitchener 2 Elmira 1

Kole Scott scored the game winner on the power play midway through the third and Kitchener edged Elmira 2-1. The Dutchmen and Sugar Kings are now tied at two games apiece in their GOJHL Midwestern Conference quarterfinal series.

Kyle Kennery also scored for the Dutchmen who went 2-for-6 on the power play.

Jakson Kirk scored for Elmira.

Waterloo 5 Cambridge 2

Alex Lycett and Sam Cherry each scored and had an assist in the Waterloo Siskins 5-2 win over Cambridge.

Dominick DiPonio and Benton Hayes each had two helpers for Waterloo who now lead their Midwestern Conference quarter final 2-1.
