One man airlifted after head-on crash near Arthur

Wellington County OPP are investigating a head-on collision that sent one driver to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said an SUV and a tractor trailer collided on Wellington Road 109 near Arthur, just after midnight Wednesday.

The driver of the SUV was rushed to local hospital by Guelph-Wellington paramedics then airlifted to a trauma centre in stable condition.  The driver of the transport was not hurt.

Wellington Road 109 was closed from Wellington Road 12 and Wellington Road 11 while the Ministry of the Environment cleaned up a diesel fuel leak caused by the collision.
