Crash involving horse-drawn buggy and vehicle sends three to hospital

Three people have been rushed to hospital after a horse-drawn buggy and motor vehicle collided east of Wingham.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported the crash on Friday around 6:30 p.m., on Howick-Turnberry Road between Gorrie Road and Belmore Line.

One person was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while two others were taken to hospital by ambulance to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police have closed the road in the area to conduct an investigation.
