Flood Watch issued for Sauble river system

A flood watch has been issued by the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

The watch is specifically for the Sauble River system is response to rapid snow melt over the last few days and rain last night. Many rivers have quickly risen in response, and areas such as Allenford are already above average flows for spring runoff and may continue to rise.

Grey Sauble Conservation is also reminding residents that during flood watches, conditions near rivers could cause potential risks to public safety, and you should avoid being near rapidly moving water and riverbanks.
