Cottrills now 2-5 at Mixed Doubles Championship

Team Cotrill of Belgrave lost 6-5 this morning to Brett Gallant and Jocelyn Peterman.

The puts the record for  Katie and Shawn Cottrill at the Mixed Doubles Curling Championship at 2-5 on day four of the competition.

The Cotrills went on to lose their afternoon match to  Steve Laycock and Kristen Streifel 9-3.

In yesterday's play, Team Cottrill lost on the final rock,  7-6 to Emilie and Robert Dejardins.

But, the duo was able to rebound with an 8-5 win over Manitoba's Ashley Groff and Kyle Doering.

Meanwhile, Listowel's Catherine and Chris Liscumb face Kyle Kurz and Melissa Gordon this evening. They are 0-5 so far at the tournament.

Yesterday, the pair lost 11-4 to Winnipeg's Kate Cameron and Reid Carruthers and then dropped a 6-5 decision to Danielle Schmiemann and Jason Ginter. They are 0-5 so far at the tournament.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
