Walkerton assault leaves man with serious injuries

South Bruce OPP officers are looking for a suspect after a man was seriously injured in an assault in the driveway of his home on Centennial Drive in Walkerton.

Police are asking residents if they can remember seeing the suspect back on March 1 at 11:30 pm.

The suspect was at the location after getting his snowmobile stuck in a snow bank. The suspect and the victim got into a verbal dispute at which time the suspect struck the victim in the face.

While members of the South Bruce OPP were responding to the call, the suspect returned to the address with another man.  They removed the snowmobile and were last seen riding north towards Mary Street in Walkerton.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, clean shaven and wearing a dark multi-coloured winter jacket and a baseball cap.

The South Bruce OPP is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
