Nuvia cuts ribbon on new Tiverton training centre

Another company has opened offices in Bruce County to support the Bruce Power refurbishment project.

On Tuesday, Nuvia cut the ribbon on the new office and training centre located in the strip mall in Tiverton.

Nuvia will use four classrooms to provide training for nuclear workers, and 60 students have already been through the program.

Nuvia expects about 12 people to be working from the Tiverton office within a year.

Nuvia provides experienced Radiation Protection Technicians both for outages and refurbishments.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
