Parents charged after infant severely injured

Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to investigate after a child was left with severe injuries.

Officers answered the call on Saturday, March 23, and ended up charging the parents of a three-month-old baby girl.

Both individuals have been charged with aggravated assault and failing to provide the necessaries of life to a child.

The accused were released on a recognizance after a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on April 18, 2019. A publication ban is in effect for the proceedings.
