County partners with Ryerson University to help young entrepreneurs

An event celebrating local entrepreneurs will be held in Walkerton on Thursday.

15 local Bruce County entrepreneurs are forming the inaugural Entrepreneur Opportunity Network (EON) Incubation program, which will be available through a partnership between Bruce County and Ryerson University. The event will introduce Ryerson staff and local entrepreneurs and will encourage young people aged 15-29 to access Ryerson's business networks and resources.

The event will be held at the Walkerton Best Western on Thursday, April 4 from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Bruce County’s Economic Development Officer Manpreet Kaur Sangha will be on hand to help run the event.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
