Two charged for Huron-Kinloss cottage break-in

Two people face charges after an OPP investigation into a break-in at a cottage in Huron-Kinloss.

Just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of suspicious individuals in a seasonal residence on Bruce Road 1 in Huron-Kinloss.

Police found two people in the residence and determined that they had forced their way in.

A 42-year-old Stratford man and a 36-year-old woman from Strathroy-Caradoc Township have been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.

The two accused will appear in a Walkerton court on May 8.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
