Police investigate break-and-enter theft at local car dealership

The OPP are investigating a break-and-enter theft that occurred in Exeter this week.

Sometime between 9 p.m. April 1 and 5 a.m. on April 2, a male suspect wearing a red hoody broke into a storage unit behind a local car dealership on Main Street in Exeter. Once inside, the thief stole a number of tires and a leaf blower.

The stolen items included three Michelin Defender tires, size P225/65R17, four Firestone Destination tires, size P225/65R19 and a Stihl Leaf blower BR600 model. The items are valued at just over $1,600.

The suspect may be driving a darker Toyota model vehicle.

Anyone with information should contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
