Exeter arena schedule set

A potential scheduling problem with the ice at the South Huron Rec. Centre has been resolved.

The Exeter Hawks have now advanced to the PJHL Schmalz Cup Championship Semi Finals, but it did present a possible scheduling problem with the ice at the arena, depending on how far the Hawks go.

The potential problem was the arena floor had been booked the long-standing annual South Huron Hospital Auxiliary Rummage Sale & Auction.

South Huron Mayor George Finch said everyone sat down and considered their options.

Rummage Sale Convenor Linda Russel said they'll move their event to the South Huron Recreation hall so the Hawks can use the arena.

Mayor Finch said the ice will be in for as long as the Hawks need it.

The Hawks host Game 2 of the series against Grimsby. Opening face-off is at 8 p.m.

Exeter is trailing 1-0 in the series.
