Hawks rally falls short in Schmalz Cup semifinal debut

The Exeter Hawks were able to make a push in Game 1 of the Schmalz Cup semi-final but came up short, losing 4-3 in overtime.
The Hawks fell behind 3-0 to the Peach Kings in Grimsby through the first two periods but Exeter took control in the third.
The Hawks scored three goals in a two minute span to tie the game and force overtime.
Seaforth's Liam Melady scored twice and Exeter's Carter McLlwain notched one for Exeter.
But Grimsby was able to score the winner to take Game 1.
Game 2 of the series is in Exeter Friday night at 8 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
