Elora man charged in connection with suspicious death

Wellington County OPP have laid charges in an ongoing death investigation.

On Wednesday about 2:30 p.m. Wellington County OPP responded to a residence on Colquhoun Street in Fergus for a woman in medical distress.

A 23-year-old Elora woman was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

A post mortem was conducted, and the death of Joslyn Nellis is being treated as suspicious.

On Friday, 32-year-old Torry Harris of Elora was arrested and charged with criminal negligence causing death and 4 counts of trafficking a controlled substance.

He remains in custody, and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice-Guelph on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
