Eats and Drinks Festival packs South Huron Rec. Centre

The South Huron Chamber of Commerce hosted its first Eats and Drinks Festival on Saturday.

Chamber President Leanne Comeau said it's a bit of a departure from their traditional Home Show, but they decided the time was right to highlight the local culinary skills, breweries and wineries that they have in South Huron.

Comeau said the response was great.

"I believe we have over 35 vendors and we actually have a full house, we actually couldn't maintain the amount of vendors that wanted to come," she said. "We're hoping that we can continue this on an annual basis and that we can just grow as the trend grows and our brewers and local culinaries grow as well."

Saturday's event was held in the auditorium of the South Huron Rec. Centre in Exeter.
