Collingwood Council ending management of Elvis Fesitval

Collingwood council has voted to end its managing of its annual Elvis Festival beyond the 2019 event.

A staff report presented at a recent council meeting shows a downward trend in attendance, including a 50 per cent decrease over the last three years.

Private interests have already stepped forward who are interested in continuing the festival.

The Collingwood Elvis Festival has been happening since 1995.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
