Low cost rabies clinics being held at the end of April

Two rabies clinics will be held at the end of this month for pet owners in Huron County.

The Blyth Veterinary Service, in partnership with the Huron County Health Unit, is hosting the low cost rabies vaccination clinics in two locations. Clinics will take place at Blyth Veterinary Services’ 234 Queen St. location on Friday, April 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Another clinic will be held at St. Helen’s Community Hall on Friday, May 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

No appointment is needed, and vaccinations for dogs and cats are $30, cash only. They are requesting pet owners bring dogs on leashes and cats in carriers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
