Suspect sought in Hanover robbery investigation

Hanover police are still looking for a suspect who was allegedly involved in a robbery at Circle K Convenience in Hanover.

The robbery happened on March 25 around 2:20 a.m. at the store located at 464 10th Street.

Investigators say a lone male entered the store through the front entrance, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the staff member.  After receiving a small amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. No physical injuries were sustained by anyone during the robbery.

Police, including an OPP K9 unit, were involved in search and evidence was found in a nearby yard.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Justin Dart, 28, of no fixed address.

Charges include one count of armed robbery, one count of wearing a disguise, one count of using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Hanover police are asking anyone with information to contact them or a local law enforcement agency. Tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers online or at 1 (800) 222 TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
