Extra precautions at Exeter schools Wednesday

There will be additional safety precautions on Wednesday at two schools in Exeter.

OPP officers will be visible at the South Huron District High School and the Exeter Elementary School.

Students and staff have been instructed to enter through the front doors of the schools, which will be locked during the school day.

The actions come after a threat was made against the Exeter high school earlier this week.

Huron County OPP informed the School Board late Tuesday that they had no tangible evidence to support the threat, which was to be carried out Wednesday. Police added they have followed many leads and have narrowed their search for the source of the threat.
