Rainfall Warning for Grey and southern Bruce counties

Heavy rain could drench parts of Grey and Bruce counties heading into the Easter Weekend.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for southern Bruce and all of Grey County.   The rain is expected to begin Thursday afternoon, and become heavier overnight and into Friday.

Rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 mm are possible by Friday evening.

Periods of rain will taper off Saturday.

This rainfall is the result of a Colorado low that will track over Northeastern Ontario Thursday.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.      Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.
