Bluewater staff meet with BFIT representatives

Members of the Bayfield Facility Initiative Team will have their first meeting with Bluewater staff on Wednesday to discuss the future of the Bayfield Arena.

BFIT spokesperson Sandy Scotchmer said she is optimistic about the outcome, adding both groups seem to be committed to getting an agreement and are focused on how that can be achieved.

She said members of BFIT have been considering what they would like to see in the document and she believes municipal staff have been doing the same.

Scotchmer said the goal of BFIT is to add to the programs available at the Bayfield Arena, so they're looking at marketing strategies and adding more to the facility.
