Conducted energy weapon utilized during arrest of high school student in Exeter

A teenager is facing charges after he allegedly resisted arrest in Exeter.

Huron County OPP were called to South Huron District High School on Thursday morning after learning a student had been failing to comply with conditions of an earlier court release. Upon arrival, officers informed the student he was being placed under arrest, at which point police allege the boy resisted and struggled with officers. A conducted energy weapon was utilized and officers were able to take the male into custody. A 16-year-old boy from Lambton Shores is facing several charges, including failing to comply with probation. He'll face a judge in June.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
