Public feedback needed on future of Galbraith Conservation Area

A prime piece of property in the Township of Perth East could be changing hands.

Perth East, in partnership with the Municipality of North Perth, is interested in possibly turning the former Galbraith Optimist Camp for Kids into a municipally-operated Galbraith Camp. The 116-acre property is located along Road 140 in Perth East, and borders the Municipality of North Perth.

An "expression of interest" letter with the proposal was sent to the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority last month

Local Optimist Clubs ran the Camp for Kids for almost 30 years, but that came to an end last year.

As part of the process, community feedback is needed on the proposal, and residents are being asked to take a short online survey. The survey can be found by clicking here.
