Grey OPP warn fishermen not to trespass

Grey County OPP officers let two men off the hook for trespassing as fishing season got underway.

Police are using the incident in the Township of Georgian Bluffs to remind sportsmen to respect private property.

On Saturday, officers responded to the complaint after two men entered private property on Big Bay Sideroad. The men were found fishing and were issued warnings with respect to trespassing under the Trespass to Property Act (TPA).

The OPP said people must have the property owner's permission to access their land for any recreational activities such as hunting, or fishing. Failing to do so may result in charges.
