Police investigating two stolen vehicles

Grey County OPP are investigating the recent theft of two vehicles.

On April 26 at 7:15 a.m., officers responded to a call at an apartment complex parking lot on McDuff Street in Markdale. An investigation revealed that sometime during the early morning hours of the 26th, unknown suspects forcibly entered a maintenance garage on the property, and several sets of car keys were removed from a lock box inside the garage. Two vehicles were stolen.

The first was a white 2011 GMC Sierra pick-up truck, Ontario Licence AB22767, VIN 1GTN1VEA7BZ256720. The truck had two black service boxes containing numerous plumbing and carpentry tools. The other vehicle is a silver, 2018 Kia Sorento, Ontario Licence BYWV895, VIN 5XYPGD58JG370507 with an attached trailer hitch.

If anyone has information regarding these thefts, they should immediately contact Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
