Storm Rally to win OHL Western Conference Final

Nick Suzuki scored the game winner on an empty Saginaw net and Guelph rallied from down 3-1 in the OHL's Western Conference final series to win Game 7 3-2.

Damien Giroux opened the scoring for Saginaw early in the first. Cedric Ralph tied the game just under 10 minutes later.

Alexey Toropchenko put the the Storm ahead early in the second.

The Spirit pulled Tristan Lennox from net late in the third for the extra attacker, allowing Suzuki to score. Giroux tried to even up the the game with a goal with 1:04 left to play but Saginaw came up short and lost the series.

Lennox made 30 saves for Saginaw and earned first star honours for his efforts. Owen Lalonde set up two of the Storm's goals to get the second star nod.

The Storm will now face the Ottawa 67's for the J Ross Robertson Cup. That series begins Thursday in Ottawa.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
