Avon Maitland Board working on strategic plan

The Avon Maitland District School Board is looking for input for its newest strategic plan.

Acting Communications Manager Sarah Stright said they're asking students, parents and community members to use an online tool on the Board's website called 'thought exchange'.

"We are inviting parents and students and community members to answer a couple of demographic questions, such as which region in our board they are from, then they will be asked what do you value most about Avon Maitland District School Board and what can we do better to prepare students for life and learning," said Stright.

The "thought exchange" link will be active until June 7.

"All of those thoughts are confidential and then we encourage them to rate those thoughts or ideas out of five stars.  That rating is what really allows us to get the dimension about what are the top priorities for our community members," added Stright.

The strategic plan is to cover a period between 2020 and 2025.
