Immaculate Conception School to welcome Nobel Peace Prize winner

Immaculate Conception School in Formosa will host a special guest on Friday.

Students will be welcoming Dr. Denis Mukwege at 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Mukwege won the 2018 Nobel Peace prize for his efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflicts around the world. He is currently visiting family in Bruce County and agreed to come for a brief visit with ICS students.

Dr. Mukwege is known worldwide as "The Man Who Mends Women" for his efforts to stop all forms of violence against women.
