OPP investigating truck theft that resulted in damaged hydro pole

OPP officers continue to investigate a single-vehicle crash that damaged a hydro pole in Central Huron.

Huron County OPP, along with the Fire Department of North Huron in Blyth and Huron County paramedics, responded to a crash on Sawmill Road east of Londesborough on Tuesday. Officers discovered a heavily damaged Nissan Frontier pick-up truck which had been driven off the road and into a hydro pole, snapping it and bringing down the wires.

Investigation revealed the truck had been stolen from a business in Seaforth on Monday, June 17.

Police are hoping to locate the suspect responsible. Anyone who has information should contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
