Housing shortage looms in Palmerston

Minto is getting ready for an influx of almost 4,000 new residents over the next 20 years.

In Palmerston, the 20-year projection is for 635 new housing units for 1,785 new residents.

But the existing urban area of Palmerston can only accommodate about half that number, so the municipality is now moving to add 100 acres to the urban boundary at the west end of Palmerston.
