Grey-Bruce residents invited to Hospice Satellite Project meeting

A date has been set for a Community Information Session regarding the Southern Bruce Grey Hospice Satellite Project.

A second residential hospice location would provide palliative comfort care to an estimated 70 to 90 additional Bruce and Grey residents per year.

In 2018, Residential Hospice Grey Bruce provided free hospice palliative care for 120 residents and their families at Chapman House in Owen Sound.

The public meeting is Tuesday, July 16 at Walkerton's Victoria Jubilee Hall, starting at 7 p.m.

The community information session will include: • an opportunity to learn about hospice care • introductions to members of the RHGB board and staff • a brief history of the progress so far in establishing a satellite hospice in the southern section of Grey/Bruce. • information on the steps going forward to see this project to fruition
