Purple Fentanyl seized near Sebringville

A traffic stop near Sebringville turned up a small quantity of purple fentanyl.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Perth County OPP officers responded to reports of two men in a vehicle, who were under conditions not to be together.

Officer arrested three Kitchener residents -- a 33-year old man, a 40-year-old man, and a 31-year-old woman. The woman was charged with possession of fentanyl. The men face charges of failing to comply with conditions.

All three people are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on August 19, 2019, to answer the charges.

The estimated value of the seized offence-related property is $500.0

"This is excellent work by diligent police officers removing a powerful drug off of our streets. Two milligrams of pure fentanyl, which is about the size of about four grains of salt is enough to kill the average adult," said Inspector Rob Scott, Perth County OPP detachment commander.
