Discussions continue over location of new Huron County administration facility

The list of municipalities that could host a new Huron County administration building is down to three.

North Huron Reeve Bernie Bailey confirmed the county is looking at his township, Central Huron and Goderich as sites to host what would be a consolidation of several buildings located throughout the county.

The county continues to examine the possibility of expanding the courthouse at the current building in Goderich.

Reeve Bailey continues to promote North Huron as the best option for a new Huron County building, noting its central location and the availability of land.

The county is expected to provide an update on a potential new location sometime in the fall.
