Police from Hanover, West Grey, Owen Sound and OPP stolen truck case

Two people face charges in connection with stolen vehicles.

Police from Hanover, West Grey, Owen Sound and the OPP were involved in the surveillance of two stolen GMC pickup trucks on Wednesday. They were parked in the area of 11th Avenue and 13th Street in Hanover and at around 2 p.m. two men were seen walking up to the trucks.

There were about to enter when a plainclothes officer approached them stating they were under arrest.

The men fled on foot but both were found and taken into custody.

A 27-year-old Hanover man and a 33-year-old Kitchener man face charges including possession of stolen property over $5,000 and obstructing police. A 28 year-old woman was also arrested after a warrant was confirmed she was wanted by police in Peel Region.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
