West Grey approves large housing project for Durham

A major residential development has been approved for Durham.

The Municipality of West Grey has signed a subdivision agreement with John Welton Custom Homebuilding Ltd.

The Durham subdivision will be completed in four phases, with more than 200 homes planned.

The project includes 118 single-family homes, 60 semi-detached and up to 64 townhomes.

"Mr. Welton and his partner in this development, Don Tremble of Candue Homes, along with staff and our external professionals have worked together extremely well and must be commended for their commitment to this project.," said Mayor Christine Robinson. "This investment in Durham is certain to chart an exciting future for all of West Grey."
