Two children struck by reversing vehicle at Elora Gorge campsite

Two children taken by air ambulance to a Hamilton hospital after being hit by a vehicle at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area on Sunday are listed in stable condition.

On July 28 at approximately 2 p.m., emergency crews responded after reports of two injured children. A seven-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl were struck by a reversing vehicle at a campsite.

The children were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later transferred by ORNGE air ambulance to a Hamilton hospital in stable condition.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
