Two injured in crash at Owen Sound intersection

A two-vehicle collision in Owen Sound around midday Monday sent two people to hospital.

It happened at the intersection of 2nd Avenue West and 14th Street West and involved a Honda FIT and a Dodge pickup truck.

Two occupants of the Honda FIT were taken to Grey Bruce Health Services for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles and a traffic light standard.

The 33-year-old driver of the Honda was charged with Left Turn – Fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision.

The traffic lights at the intersection were out of commission for several hours while repairs were made.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
