Comfort Inn in Goderich just weeks away from opening

The mayor of Goderich expects to see the new Comfort Inn in the town open by the end of the month.

John Grace said the hotel has received its occupancy permit, but he understands there are still a few things to be done internally before it's open to guests.

Grace said the hotel will have between 60 and 70 rooms, plus conference rooms and an indoor swimming pool.

He added it's something that's been needed in Goderich for years and will be a huge asset for the community and Huron County.

The Comfort Inn has been built on the former Victoria Public School property.
