Two injured in stabbing incident in Ayton

A Hanover man has been charged following a stabbing incident in Ayton.

West Grey police responded to a reported stabbing Sunday at a Louisa Street residence in Ayton.

A man and woman were arguing in the front seat of a parked vehicle when a second man entered the backseat and began stabbing the man who was in the front seat.  The woman suffered a stab wound to her hand while trying to break up the fight.

The couple in the front seat were treated in hospital and both are in stable condition.

West Grey police charged 39-year-old Michael Gagnon of Hanover with numerous assault and weapons offences.

He has a bail hearing scheduled for on Tuesday in Walkerton.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
